Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)
Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) was established in 1980 for human service professionals to address the need for training in safe, respectful, noninvasive methods for managing disruptive and assaultive behavior that are compatible with the staff's duty to provide the best possible care.

CPR, AED, First Aid and Environmental Safety
This new American Heart Association three hour group class offers updated guidelines and certification for two years on Adult, Child and Infant CPR including choking. Additionally, the class covers what to do in case of environmental emergencies in an industrial facility and outdoor safety for the children or adults. Also covered, when applicable, are extensive First Aid and Automated External Defibrillators or AED training.

Gang Activity in Houston
The Mayor's Anti-Gang Office develops and implements programs that provide case management, counseling, court based-assessment, gang education and awareness training, job readiness training, truancy reduction, victims' assistance, and information and referrals in their continuous quest to prevent gang involvement and juvenile delinquency. This first class in the series will provide you with the fundamental aspects of the course by specifying the RPT requirements, mentioning the principles of working with children, historical introduction to Play Therapy, basic tenets of Play Therapy, meaning of play, logistical aspects of Play Therapy, particulars of the tracking used, and the reading/writing assignments for “Dibs and Play Therapy.
