We recognize that parenting is a challenging but rewarding endeavor. This is one reason why we offer parenting classes at DePelchin.
What Parents Learn The Nurturing Parenting program provides resources and information to support parents in dealing with common parenting challenges. Positive discipline, communication, and problem solving techniques are presented in a way to help parents implement new tips and strategies at home. Information is presented as it relates to children’s developmental level, so parents receive information relevant to their family needs. Class Dates: Classes are ongoing and meet each week on the day indicated below. Certificate: To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete the eight (8) workshops, covering all of the required core topics within sixteen (16) weeks. Fees: The classes are free. However, there is a $25 fee for registration and materials. Payment Verification: If you register online, please print your confirmation and bring it with you to class. This will serve as verification of your payment status. Group/Organizations: If your group would like to have a special class or training for your group, email parentEd@depelchin.org.
